Call for temporary exhibitions
Research groups, artists, photographers, authors, nature hobbyists and all other nature enthusiasts are invited to propose an exhibition for the exhibition spaces of the Natural History Museum and the Kaisaniemi and Kumpula Botanic Gardens. Applications are also accepted for exhibitions already in planning stages. For descriptions of the exhibition spaces (only in Finnish at the moment), see the links below.
The call for exhibitions is open year-round. Applications are processed four times a year, during weeks 2, 10, 23 and 38. Applicants will be contacted after the applications have been processed. The exhibition can be scheduled to begin no earlier than three months after the proposal has been accepted.
Use the following electronic form to apply for exhibition space https://elomake.helsinki.fi/lomakkeet/126045/lomake.html
Include your exhibition plan and CV or portfolio with your application. You can also request specific exhibition dates in your application.
The exhibition agreement includes security, opening of the exhibition within the normal opening hours of the facility as well as marketing based on material provided by the exhibitor using the marketing channels of Luomus. Some of the spaces are available free of charge, while others carry a rental fee. If desired, the exhibitor can at their expense organise an opening event or artist introduction.
